Fans beg Gemma Collins to sign up to Strictly as she shows off dance moves

Could she hit the dance floor next year?

Gemma Collins could be a potential contender for next year’s Strictly Come Dancing, if her fans have any say.

The reality star, who made great TV on this year’s Dancing On Ice, shared a video of herself dancing on Instagram on Monday.

The video shows Gemma busting her best moves to Carol Channing’s Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.

The clip appears to be from Gemma’s rehearsals for Dancing On Ice alongside her pro partner Matt Evers.

She captioned the post: “Waking into work LIKE have a FABULOUS DAY.”

Fans loved the video, with many urging Gemma to go on Strictly next year.

One person said: “Gemma for STRICTLY 2020!!! This needs to happen.”

Another wrote: “Please tell me that’s Gorka [Marquez] and you’re going on Strictly,” while a third added: “GEMMA!!!!!! OMG #TheGCforStrictly you are a natural.”

A fourth asked: “Someone please remind me why Gemma hasn’t been asked to do Strictly yet?”

Gemma made headlines throughout her time on Dancing On Ice for a number of reasons, including her on-air spat with Jason Gardiner and falling face first onto the ice during one of her performances.

If Gemma was to do Strictly next year, she would undoubtedly bring the entertainment factor.

During an appearance on This Morning last week, the star claimed she’s a “global icon” and “the biggest reality star in the UK”.

Speaking about her alter-ego The GC, Gemma said: “That’s The GC. I make great TV, I provide you with entertainment and it’s how I make my money.

“I make brilliant TV. Every production company wants me, you sign up with me and you get what you want. I make jaw-dropping TV but it’s just fun.”

Speaking about her stint on Dancing On Ice earlier this year, Gemma said: “When I left Dancing On Ice, the viewings dropped by 2.7 million.

“Everyone was just so upset [that I left], especially the producers as they were like, ‘how are we going to get the ratings up?'”
