Gemma Collins ‘signs up for Dancing On Ice’

Reality fave said to have received a 'big offer' from ITV

Gemma Collins will get her skates on for ITV after signing up for Dancing On Ice, a newspaper report claims.

According to The Sun, the TOWIE cast member has received a “big” “written offer” to be a part of the celebrity skating contest.

An ITV source is quoted as saying famous faces “from all walks of life” will feature on their shows.

The unnamed source is also reported to have said: “The GC is a big character and will be telly gold. Strictly’s loss is Dancing on Ice’s gain.”

An ITV rep told ED!: “At the moment any names are speculation and we will be confirming our line up in due course.”

A representative for Gemma has been contacted for comment.

The speculation received a mixed response from fans on Twitter,  with some deciding Gemma’s involvement made the next series of Dancing On Ice ‘must watch’.

Reality veteran Gemma, 37, has already appeared on Celebs Go Dating, Splash!, Celebrity Masterchef, Celebrity Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity previously.

However, she lasted only 72 hours in the I’m A Celeb jungle, suffering a panic attack before arriving in the camp and threatening to quit over food rations.

She claimed at the time she was so hungry she felt her “stomach will fall out”.

“People who murder get treated better than this,” she said at the time.

“That’s the truth. Even a murderer gets fed three times a day.”

Gemma’s time on Celebrity Masterchef earlier this year was also short-lived but the Essex personality admitted it was “good fun”.

Ever modest, she recently reflected to Express Online: “They were lucky to get me to do the show.”

There had previously been rumours Gemma could be heading towards Strictly Come Dancing, but the show’s judge Craig Revel Horwood dismissed her as not being of the “right calibre” for the most popular entertainment show on British TV.
