Alongside her message was a video of Gem singing Reach Out And Touch Somebody on stage, with her mum cheering her on in the audience.

Gem previously voiced her worries for Joan, who suffers with arthritis and recently battled pneumonia.

The 38-year-old has been spending time looking after Joan since she was rushed to hospital with pneumonia last month.

While many followers praised her sentimental post, others were more impressed by GC’s singing ability in the video footage!

One fan wrote: “You have a stunning singing voice gemma 👍😃❤️.”

Another added: “What a voice Gemma 💕.”

A third commented: “Love your singing Gemma!”

It comes as Gemma, who has been patching things up with boyfriend James Argent after their recent split, hinted she is planning to quit the UK and head over to the US.

During her interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, which airs this Saturday, she said she has a feeling she will make it over there.
