Gemma Collins reveals she’s moving out of Essex to focus on DOI

She'll be moving away from boyfriend Arg, too!

Gemma Collins has revealed she’s moving away from her hometown of Essex to be closer to the Dancing On Ice rink.

The TOWIE star, 37, said she’s making the big change so she can focus on her skating and getting far in the competition following her clash with judge Jason Gardiner on Sunday night’s show.

Speaking to ITV’s Lorraine on the red carpet during last night’s NTAs, Gemma said her boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent is fully supportive of her move.

She told Dan Wootton: “I’m actually moving from Essex and I’m moving to Bovingdon.

“This is actually mine and Arg’s last night together.”

Arg added: “She wants it to be all about the skating and the routines and less about anything else.”

Gemma said: “My feet are going to be doing the talking this weekend, nothing else. [Arg is] going to have to do his own washing and his own dinners.”

It comes days after Gemma lashed out at Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner as he criticised her performance.

He told her: “I know you were channelling Marilyn Monroe… There wasn’t any elegance like you were saying in the VT. She has to be elegant.

“This is your second skate now. You need to up the ante. We’re not going to see big lifts from you.”

However, before he could continue, she interjected and fumed: “Can I just say one thing? Maybe if you didn’t sell stories on me, I wouldn’t have been so upset this week.

“So take that! Boring, boring! Don’t sell stories on me.”

Jason the branded Gemma a “brat”.

Jason has since denied “selling stories” about Gemma, tweeting: “Being wrongly accused of ‘selling stories’ was a blatant attempt to defame my character.”

On Tuesday, Gemma told fans she would be taking a break from social media to focus on her skating ahead of her performance on Sunday night.

She wrote on Instagram: “Guys after today I can’t be on social as I really need to up my skating skills.

“I’m not leaving you but I really need to focus, here’s a little something to keep you going. I’ll be back up and running Sunday.”

However, just a few hours later, she had already broken her promise as she was active on social media again sharing videos and snaps from the NTAs.

Gemma will take to the ice alongside her professional skating partner Matt Evers on Sunday night.
