Gemma Collins divides opinion in “Lady Gaga” inspired dress

The TOWIE star sent Twitter into meltdown

Gemma Collins nearly broke Twitter after stepping out in an unusual dress for the ITV summer party last night.

The 36-year-old star from Essex opted for a pale orange ruched number with oversized shoulder pads, but everybody compared her to an American football player.

GC shared a full-length pic on Instagram, captioned: “Rocking my inner Lady GAGA tonight 🙌🏻 @gerdatruubon xxx”

But people weren’t keen on it.

Taking to her Instagram, a follower wrote: “Sorry but that dress is awful! Doesn’t do you any favours at all. Makes you look like you’re playing the part of the wardrobe in Beauty & the Beast. You are so much better than this.”

Another said: “I wouldn’t let my dog wear that.”

But it was Twitter that erupted the most.

One said: “@missgemcollins oi what’s this you signed for the Denver broncos?”. (Sorry, Gemma!)

And they kept coming.

Another compared her to Adam Sandler in the movie Waterboy.

Everybody showed off their impressive PhotoShop skills.

Somebody else wrote: “Hmmm what shall I wear today? I know I’ll dress like a goldfish, mermaids are so yesterday,” followed by a photo of a goldfish.

Seriously?

Then there was a carrot comparison.

Thankfully some people were a little kinder in their opinions.

One Instagram follower wrote: “Babe xx you are a beautiful bird xx but honestly don’t like the shoulder pads.”

While another added: “You’re Gorgeous but the dress does you no justice.”

“You look incredible Gemma such a beautiful lady,” a third said.

The gorgeous blonde just didn’t seem to care about the harsh criticism though.

She has completely ignored all of the negative comments after her fun night out, and instead, shared an empowering message to her 419,000 followers.

“Dream big”, she wrote.

Never change, Gem!
