Gemma Atkinson’s fans have described her as “out of this world” after clapping eyes on the star’s latest Instagram photo.
The ex-Emmerdale actress, 32, is known for living and promoting a very active, healthy lifestyle, and she showed off the results via a beautiful picture on Saturday night.
Looking glamorous and gorgeous, the blonde posed in a figure hugging blush pink bodycon frock ahead of a big night out.
She captioned the snap: “Out! Out!”
Fans were quick to lavish the soap star with compliments on her fit and strong appearance, with one telling her: “All your sweat and pain pays off you look out of this world Gemma.”
Another said: “Wow! You look fab! Can’t beat a strong looking pair of legs underneath a lovely dress!”
A third remarked: “This is the best two fingers up to all those that say weights make you manly! You look amazing, an inspiration to young women to be fit and strong.”
A fourth added: “You look unreal, your body shape has changed loads and you look smoking hot.”
And a fifth said: “You look amazing, wish I had your determination and motivation.”
Gemma is just back in the UK following a juice retreat in Portugal, where she enjoyed daily activities such as swimming, yoga and hikes through the forest.
It also allowed plenty of time for reflection, with Gemma telling fans that every time she’s at the retreat she will “spend 15 mins each night alone on the balcony feeling extremely lucky and grateful for the life I have and the people I have in it.”
Gemma’s exit from Emmerdale aired in June, as her character Carly left the Dales with hunky ex Matt.
“Like Carly if I get too comfortable I have to go and start something else and take a leap of faith before I get stuck,” explained Gemma.
“This job is amazing but I’m wary of just becoming part of the furniture.”
Gemma hasn’t ruled out a return, however, giving fans a glimmer of hope (no pun intended) that they’ll see Carly again one day.
“I’m 100% sure Carly will return as she has unfinished business in the village, it’s just a case of figuring out when and why – and who she can mess up when she gets back!”
Meanwhile, Gemma recently told Daily Star she’d always wanted to take up Mixed Martial Arts but was unable to do so because of TV roles, joking: “I don’t think ITV would allow it, being all bruised up. But I think more women should do it.”
“The thing I admire about men and women that train is that it’s not just a sport but a lot of hard sports,” she said.
“It’s great to defend yourself, feel good and not be scared – get on with it.”
