Gemma Atkinson reveals boyfriend Gorka Márquez gives her ‘anxiety’

She was kidding around

Former Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Casualty and Strictly star Gemma Atkinson has revealed that boyfriend Gorka Márquez gives her ‘anxiety’.

The loved-up pair and new parents to baby Mia have started their own YouTube channel, giving fans an insight into their daily lives.

But in one video, Gemma, 34, told partner and former Strictly professional dancer Gorka, 29, that he gives her ‘anxiety’ at the way he pushes Mia’s buggy.

In the video – titled A Day In Our Life – the couple are seen walking around a park and a country lane, taking Mia and their dog for a stroll.

At one point, as Gorka takes over buggy-pushing duties, Gemma turns to the camera and says: “It gives me anxiety when you do that with the pram!”

“Because you are clumsy and if you let go of it I will kill you!” she continues.

When Gorka asks why it make her feel anxious, he says: “Because my child is in there!”

New mum Gemma has been praised for being so open about her post-pregnancy body.

She recently warned her fans that appearances can be deceiving when it comes to her physique.

She gave birth to daughter Mia in July, and shared a video on her Instagram account where she looks like she has “snapped back” into shape.

But Gemma admitted while she is lighter than she was before she gave birth, she isn’t as fit or strong as she once was.

Last week it was announced that Gemma, along with the likes of Debbie McGee and Mark Wright, is among the stars set to return to Strictly Come Dancing for this year’s Christmas special.

The show is welcoming some past favourites to the dancefloor for the one-off Christmas Day (25.12.19) episode, with Chizzy Akudolu, Richard Arnold and Joe Sugg also taking part.

And 2017 runner-up Gemma added: “I had the absolute best time on Strictly and it completely changed my life so I am absolutely overjoyed to be returning to the dancefloor this Christmas with a new challenge, and of course to be back with the gang!”
