Gemma Atkinson has wowed her fanbase with her very honest and open experience of pregnancy.

The 34-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with Strictly pro dancer Gorka Marquez, posted an inspirational message on Instagram warning against unrealistic expectations while pregnant.

Gemma responded to her followers praising her for her pregnancy fitness videos and pictures by claiming that there are some days when she’s exhausted and just wants to eat pizza.

“Since I posted the videos of me training during pregnancy I’ve had lots of messages from pregnant ladies saying ‘I wish I had the energy’ or ‘I look massive and I’m only so many weeks,'” she began.

Posting a pic of her digging into a huge pizza, she said after working a 16 hour day she prefers to get comfortable in a tracksuit, play with her dogs and enjoying her grub all to herself!

The star also warned followers not to be hard on themselves if they have a day where not a lot happens.

Gem continued: “I try to make sure that my good eating and training days outweigh my sloth days and as long as I’m happy and healthy and my baby is the same, that’s all that matters. Pregnant or not, hang in there you’re doing ace.”

Her words of wisdom went down a treat with many of her 977,000 Instagram followers.

A fourth added: “At 41 weeks pregnant today, I could not appreciate this post more.”
