Gemma Atkinson has welcomed her first child with Gorka Marquez.
Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka announced the news on social media on Saturday night, saying: “The last pic before we became three.
“Our beautiful baby daughter arrived on Thursday 4th July and myself and Gem couldn’t be happier.
“She’s incredible and she certainly made an entrance, giving us all quite a fright at times. @glouiseatkinson my absolute HERO!
“After seeing you go through all you did to bring our little girl to life has made me love and respect you even more.
“What a trooper you are. I couldn’t be more proud of you!! Thank you SO much to the nurses & doctors at The Royal Bolton Hospital who did the most incredible job taking care of Gem and our baby. Back home now for family time.”
Former Emmerdale star Gemma followed up Gorka’s announcement with her own message: “And just like that, we’re a three!

“Little Miss independent already! Thank you SO much to the nurses & doctors at The Royal Bolton Hospital who did the most incredible job taking care of myself and my baby.
“You’re all so wonderful and I’m so grateful to have had you all with me and to have been under your care these past 4 days.
“Back home now for family time and to introduce little lady to her big brothers Norman & Ollie…. Let the next life chapter begin @gorka_marquez.”

Last month, Gemma shared sweet photos from her baby shower, which she celebrated with friends and family.
She told her fans: “Such a wonderful surprise baby shower!!
“Cannot Thank my family and friends enough for all making the effort to come and celebrate with me and Baby Marquez and for bringing so many lovely gifts.
“Afternoon tea and cake and of course, Prosecco and cafe patron for guests Top day!”
Gemma also revealed at the time that she was planning to take three hospital bags with her to give birth: one for her; one for her baby’s things; one for her snacks!
During her pregnancy, the actress kept it real with her fans and recently spoke candidly about her weight gain.
Gemma said she struggled to adjust to her changing body at first, but she wouldn’t let it get her down because her baby’s health was paramount.
Fitness-loving Gemma revealed she went from 70kgs to 85kgs since being pregnant and she was proud of it.
She told her followers on Instagram: “70kg vs 85kg. Softer arms, puffier face, bigger ass and thighs, bigger belly, uterus, placenta, water retention, huge rise in oestrogen meaning more cellulite and let’s be honest, my boobs are like the Mitchell brothers.

“ALL of the above means my body is working to grow my baby and I couldn’t be more proud of it.”
She added: “Admittedly, it is hard at first especially if like me, you were/are a gym bunny. However, if you change your way of thinking and realise firstly that pregnancy is a beautiful privilege denied to many women so be grateful you have this opportunity, things do start to become easier.
“Secondly, from the minute you are carrying your baby (for me anyway) EVERYTHING became about my baby. Not my appearance. I wanted/still want them to be as strong and as healthy as possible.”
