Danielle Bux was saying goodbye to her late mum

Gary Lineker made a dash back from Russia, where he is commentating on the World Cup, to support his grieving ex-wife Danielle Bux.

His former partner’s mother, Kim, was laid to rest in Wales last Friday, after reportedly suffering a fatal heart attack.

According to The Sun, a BBC source told them: “He was the ultimate pro, ensuring he did not miss airtime.

“Despite the breakneck travel schedule, he knew supporting Danielle was the right thing to do.”

The paper claims that Gary was a pall-bearer at the ceremony, which was followed by a burial before 200 mourners attended a wake in the 4th Glamorgan Home Guard Social Club.

Gary and second wife Danielle split in 2016 after being married for six years.
