Gary Barlow is spending time away from his family as he continues his Take That tour.

The singer is travelling around the UK with his bandmates Mark Owen and Howard Donald for their Greatest Hits tour.

Gary took to Instagram this week to share a snap of himself and wife Dawn, as he told fans she was “in the wars” when he left home.

The picture shows the couple on a boat in the sun.

Gary captioned the post: “Sending healing vibes to Mrs.B. She was in the wars when I left.

“Now she’s on her own, dealing with all the chores of having a family while I’m living it up on tour. #partnership #family.”

Gary recently revealed Dawn had to have “three pins” taken out of her ankle.

He told fans on Instagram: “Thinking of my gorgeous wife today. She’s having three pins took [sic] out of her ankle. Not nice.

“Thankfully, I have a day off tomorrow. I can spoil her all day.”

Gary, 48, and Dawn, 49, have been married for 19 years.

They have three children – son Daniel, 18, and daughters Emily, 16, and Daisy, 10. The couple were devastated when their fourth child, Poppy, was born stillborn in 2012.

The pair have been together for 24 years in total, with Gary marking their time together by getting her initial tattooed on his wrist.

In November last year, the star showed off his tattoo alongside a heartfelt caption.

He said: “As Dawn and I approach our 24th year together (19 married), I’m always looking for new ways to feel closer to her. Especially as we spend so much time apart.”

He added: “Now I just have to look down to feel that connection. A good way of remembering how important people are to us is to try and imagine life without them.

“That’s always a good cue to kiss them a little more and tell them you love them a lot more. If you’re lucky enough to have found love, protect it. #love.”
