After Gareth Gates was pictured leaving a club arm-in-arm with a mystery brunette, the rumour mill went into overdrive.
Has he moved on following his split from his former Corrie star fiancée Faye Brookes?
It appears not, as Gareth has revealed the identity of the mystery lady he was seen partying with till the early hours.

He said that Catherine Franks is, in fact, a family friend that he’s known for years.
Speaking about his night out, held to celebrate his sister Jessica’s birthday, Gareth revealed that the “mysterious girl” was actually his “sister’s best friend Catherine”.
He added: “She’s been a family friend for years!”

Gareth’s fans were quick to comment on the news, saying that the former Pop Idol star didn’t have to “explain himself”.

Gareth recently split from Faye, his on/off girlfriend of seven years.

He had proposed to her back in January.
Last month, Gareth posted a cryptic message to social media insisting the “truth will out” and saying that he plans on staying “true” to himself.
