Gareth Gates and Faye Brookes deny magazine shoot was FAKE

The couple shot a video to blast the rumours

Gareth Gates and Faye Brookes have denied rumours that their recent OK! Magazine shoot was fake.

The formal Pop Idol star and his Corrie actress girlfriend recorded a video to set the record straight.

The couple appeared on the cover of OK! Magazine and spoke in an interview inside about their desire to get married and have children.

During their interview, Faye said: “We’re definitely going to get married and have babies, we’re just not quite there yet.”

But some people believed the photoshoot was fake and suggested that the couple were superimposed against the Eiffel Tower.

Whilst in their local shop, Gareth pulled out his phone to record the pair picking up a copy of the mag and pointing out their picture on the front.

Actress Faye can be seen browsing the biscuit aisle as Gareth says: “Who’s over there on that shelf?”

Faye jokes: “I’m leaving!”

Gareth adds: “Who are those two handsome people right there?

“Who are these, eh?”

Embarrassed Faye says: “We hope you enjoyed it. And it was actually real. We were actually in Paris.”

Gareth then addressed the rumours that the shoot was fake.

He said: “We were. Even though we’ve been accused of faking it.”

“That would be hashtag embarrassing,” Faye laughed.

To clear up to rumours even further, Gareth posted a behind the scenes picture of the shoot earlier the same day which shows the pair in the French Capital.

He captioned the snap: “Loving the fact that people think mine and @Faye_Brookes Paris shoot is fake! To be fair it does look like green screen! -behind scenes shot.”

We hope they enjoyed themselves in the City of Love!
