Frank Lampard donned a pair of baby pink football boots on Friday to mark the birth of his third daughter, Patricia.
The former footballer, who now serves as manager of Derby County, shared an Instagram Stories update showing his brightly coloured boots just moments after he and wife Christine announced their child’s arrival.
His caption simply read: “Pink for a girl.”
The couple introduced their daughter, Patricia Charlotte, via an Instagram picture on Friday morning showing them beaming with pride in a hospital room.
Christine was seen cradling the little girl while Frank stood protectively behind them.
The baby’s name is a tribute to Frank’s beloved late mum Pat, who sadly passed away from pneumonia in 2008 at the age of just 58 years old.
Christine and Frank have been flooded with congratulatory messages from their famous friends and colleagues.
Among them was Michelle Keegan who said: “Congratulations!! Welcome to the world little girl.”
Fellow ex-Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley also sent her well-wishes, as did Holly Willoughby who said: “Just soooo wonderful. You look so beautiful and happy. Sending you so much Baldwin love from all of us.”
Holly’s This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield said: “What a beautiful pic. Congratulations.”
Other messages came in from Giovanna Fletcher, Keith Lemon, Louise Redknapp, Rochelle Humes, Alex Jones and Becky Vardy, as well as Christine’s Loose Women colleagues.
Linda Robson told her: “Congratulations to you [both]. So happy for you both. Beautiful little girl, love the name.”
Andrea McLean added: “Congratulations! Such wonderful news for you both. Welcome to the world Patricia.”
This is Christine’s first child and Frank’s third; he’s already dad to daughters Luna, 13, and Isla, 11.
Christine has previously spoken about how excited the girls were to be getting a little brother or sister. She and Frank had chosen not to find out their baby’s sex before birth.
She told ITV’s Lorraine: “The girls are completely beside themselves, more so than I thought they would be. It does have to a girl, but I can’t guarantee that!
“They are desperate for a little girl! They’re constantly talking to the belly, constantly chatting and wanting to be the first name it says. It’s just lovely.”
Well, Luna and Isla got their baby girl wish!
