Former TOWIE star calls a truce with Mark Wright after bitter feud

She praised his work ethic

Mark Wright has gone from strength to strength since leaving the world of TOWIE behind.

Well, if you can call marriage to Michelle Keegan and a top hosting job in the US success – which most of us would!

He’s not the only former Essex alumni to be making strides though.

Lucy Mecklenburgh is now hugely successful in her own right, with her Instagram profile describing her as “Model, CEO and Fitness Guru”.

And looking at her super-toned snaps on the social site, it’s fair to say she’s living up to that description!

However, Lucy and Mark haven’t always seen eye to eye.

They had a short-lived romance in 2010, and Mark wasn’t pleased when Lucy spoke about it and described him as “obsessed with his looks.”

At the time, Mark went on a furious Twitter rant, blasting Lucy as he wrote: “I don’t normally do this but after 3yrs & someone who can’t even be classed as an X (1 date) has used my name to get headlines again.

“Nothing but a kiss and tell girl with no class or dignity. It’s low enough that you’ve been seeing someone for a month & already sold your story but leave my name out of it #disgusting.”

Mark was referring to Lucy’s then-boyfriend Max George, of boyband The Wanted.

Fortunately for us all, they appear to have buried the hatchet somewhat in recent years.

As we mentioned, Mark’s loved-up with Michelle Keegan, and Lucy’s been dating Ryan Thomas since last year.

In a new interview with The Sun, Lucy spoke well of her former flame.

She said: “What Mark has done shows that hard work pays off if you have goals. Everyone’s smashing it in their own way.

“Everyone from the original Towie cast is doing really well.”

“People have a stereotype about Essex, it makes me feel really proud. We’re all really hard workers.”

It’s good to see everyone playing nicely – we can’t see any furious tirades from Mark in the near future!
