Former Strictly and soap star makes exciting baby announcement

It's about time we heard from her

It seems like forever since we heard anything from former Neighbours star Holly Valance so it makes her new announcement even more exciting.

The actress has revealed the news that she has given birth to her second child, with her property tycoon husband Nick Candy.

The blonde beauty gave birth to a baby girl earlier this week and she has been named Nova Skye Coco.

Holly’s spokesperson confirmed the news to The Sun Online today, but a picture of the new arrival hasn’t been released yet.

They said: “I can confirm that Holly Candy gave birth a few days ago to a baby daughter named Nova Skye Coco Candy.

“Nick and Holly are delighted with the news and mother and baby are both doing well.”

The couple have been married for five years and already have a three-year-old daughter called Luka Violet Toni.

Holly became famous in the soap Neighbours from 1999 to 2002 as the character of Felicity “Flick” Scully, and also starred in Strictly Come Dancing.

She went on to release some hit songs. Her single Kiss Kiss was a number one hit and some of her other songs including State Of Mind, Down Boy and Naughty Girl also did well in the charts.

Her sister Olympia Valance currently stars in Neighbours as Paige Smith, but she recently hinted at quitting the soap to pursue the Hollywood dream.

The actress, who has starred in Neighbours since 2014, has recently been signed by the same management agency as the Hemsworth brothers, Chris and Liam, in Los Angeles.

And after being compared to Margot Robbie, who played Donna Freedman on the soap from 2008 to 2011 before heading to the US and landing massive roles in films such as Wolf Of Wall Street and Suicide Squad, Olympia has admitted it’s flattering.

Speaking to the Herald Sun, Olympia said: “It really excites me. As an Aussie, I’ve loved watching the country get behind Margot and cheering her on as she found incredible success overseas.

“As a young Australian actor myself, what she is achieving is everything I could hope for, and more.”

So does that mean she’s planning on following in Margot’s footsteps to Hollywood?

It’s not the first time Olympia has spoken about life beyond the soap.

She has previously revealed to The Sunday Telegraph’s TV Guide: “To go and throw it away for the unknown… it’s going to be really hard because I’ve loved the cast, I love the crew.

“If I do go, it will be one of the hardest decisions I’ll ever have to make.”

She went on to say: “Even if I decide not to sign on for another season, I want to come back and forth for cameos. It would never be the end of Paige.”

We guess that would be up to the writers and producers, though, but Paige is such a popular character, we’d be surprised if they did kill her off.

Olympia is also an ambassador for lingerie brand Gossard.
