Former I’m A Celebrity contestant accuses show of being FIXED

The biggest scandal yet to hit this year!

| Updated:

It’s been one of the most cordial series of I’m A Celebrity… ever – inside the jungle.

But outside camp, controversy has hit the show like flies round a dunny.

The latest scandal comes via a former contestant on the ITV entertainment juggernaut, who has accused the hit programme of being FIXED.

Shaun Ryder, the man – the legend – at the centre of Madchester band Happy Mondays, came second in the 2010 run of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Now he is claiming that he was cheated out of winning, to allow his camp mate Stacey Solomon to become jungle Queen.

He told the Nottingham Post: “As far as I am concerned the game was rigged. I really do mean that.

“I was in a band and Stacey had a career.

“Basically it was all mapped out for her to become a TV host which she then decided that she didn’t want to do.

“She decided that she wanted to do music and I am sure that if she was ever going to do music then Simon Cowell would have made sure that she did it.

“From day one, I pretty much knew that Stacey was going to win that.”

Hmmm, simple case of sour grapes from the one-time Black Grape front man?

Or is he just confirming what many viewers have begun to suspect this year?

Some IACGMOOH fans were suspicious that charismatic camp cougar Carol Vorderman left the competition way ahead of jungle irritant Martin Roberts.

The TV host is not the most popular of characters with his fellow camp mates and viewers alike.

One tweeted: “So obviously fixed to keep Martin in as he’s the only source of drama. B*****ks. Ruining the whole thing. #ImACeleb.”

Another wrote: “Bulls**t! As if Carol lost over Martin. They’re clearly keeping Martin in cause he annoys everyone! this is why I don’t vote. #fix #imaceleb”.

Another suspicious viewer simply said: FIX FIX FIX #ImACeleb

Meanwhile, a source has suggested to the Mirror that the show is being angled for a Scarlett Moffatt win, saying: “I’m certain that she must have been given some favourable editing.

“She’s had more air time than most of the celebs, it’s like the producers are deliberately trying to get her to win the show.

“Don’t be surprised if she announces a TV show deal with ITV when she leaves the jungle.”

The winner will be revealed this weekend!
