Former EastEnders star Sam Attwater announces birth of second child with cute photo

It's a girl!

Sam Attwater has become a daddy for the second time, he has revealed.

The former EastEnders actor, 32, announced the safe arrival of his baby daughter in a cute social media post yesterday (Thursday 28 February).

Sam, who played Leon Small in the BBC soap and its spin-off EastEnders: E20, already has one daughter Rosie with his wife Vicky Ogden, who he met when they were partnered together on Dancing On Ice.

He announced Rosie had become a big sister on Instagram and Twitter, to his combined 62,970 followers, by saying: “She’s here!!!! Mummy and baby are both healthy and well. @vickyogden1 was a superstar!!

“Rosie Ida Mae Attwater’s little sister Daisy Ivy Mae Attwater arrived at 19.29 27/02/19 weighing in at 7Ibs 15oz.

“To say I am proud of my wife is an understatement! My family is complete. Me and all my girls!! I couldn’t be more in love.”

He went on to thank the staff at the hospital who helped safely deliver baby Daisy, saying: “A huge thank you to all the midwives at the Barratt birth centre in Northampton and a special thank you to Lucy who was with us from the beginning all the way through to delivering Daisy.”

In the picture, Sam and Vicky are walking away from the camera holding hands, while Sam’s free hand is carrying baby Daisy in a car seat.

Fans flooded the actor, who won Dancing On Ice in 2011, with messages of congratulations and love, with one saying: “Aww, love this!! This is so awesome.”

Another gushed: “Such fantastic news, glad everything went well and sending my congratulations to you all.”

Fellow former EastEnders actress Cheryl Fergison said: “Amazing Sam… Just beautiful… Happy days… Much love Cheryl.”

Sam married professional figure skater Vicky in August 2014, and had their first child two year’s later.

The family announced Vicky was expecting her second child on Christmas Day, as soon-to-be big sister Rosie held up a message board with the words: “Only child expiring February 2019. And I am getting a sister.”

A huge congratulations to Sam and his family and good luck getting some sleep!
