Former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon reveals she’d like another baby

"If it's 'meant for you, it will happen"

She is a very busy woman at the moment, with a new movie coming out, a brand new album and a tour.

But it seems Martine McCutcheon wouldn’t be averse to adding something else to her already very full plate – another baby.

And at 42, she doesn’t appear to be feeling the pressure that some older mums feel.

Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “I’d love another – I wouldn’t worry about being a mum in my mid-40s.

“If you take care of yourself and your body is in great nick and it’s meant for you it will happen.”

After suffering a series of tragic miscarriages, she finally gave birth to son Rafferty in 2015.

Martine also opened up about not taking such good care of herself in the past.

“Looking back, I pushed myself beyond my limits and burnt myself out,” she says.

“There were days I couldn’t get out of bed.”

There were even more tough times for Martine.

She’s battled Lyme disease, been dropped by her record label and declared bankrupt in 2013.

Rafferty could have a little brother or sister to look forward to

But now, with her career back on the up and even the possibility of a second child on the horizon, things are looking up for Martine.

And she’s proving that motherhood isn’t slowing her down, as she reveals she will have little Rafferty in tow.

“Rafferty is on the road with me for some of the dates. I hate being apart from him!”
