Former EastEnders actress is talking to her sister again after TEN YEARS

And now they're hoping to work together...

As Kat Slater in EastEnders, Jessie Wallace was always getting embroiled in arguments with the residents of Albert Square.

And the actress’s private life hasn’t been short of a dispute or two, either.

Jessie, 46, reportedly didn’t talk to her younger sister, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Danielle Mason, for TEN YEARS, after Danielle accused her of neglecting their stepdad while he was battling leukaemia.

However, in an interview with the Daily Star, Danielle revealed that the siblings are finally talking again – and are even planning to work together.

Said the 34-year-old: “My uncle died, we both went to the funeral and it brought us closer together.

“We just spent a lot of time together and it was like we hadn’t even fallen out. We’re back to normal.”

Danielle, who appears in new British crime drama Rise of the Footsoldier 3, insisted that she was mainly responsible for causing the rift.

She explained: “It wasn’t so much her fault, it was me. I said some silly things and made mistakes, and I regret that. I said sorry to her. I’ve grown up a lot.”

The two sisters haven’t just made up – they’re also hoping to collaborate on future work projects. And it sounds like they might be branching out from their usual stuff.

“My sister and I keep getting asked to do Ross Kemp-style documentaries,” said Danielle. “A lot of production companies have approached me about doing something like that for the BBC.

“It would be about something we have in common, like witchcraft and spirits, as we’re both into that.”

Earlier this year, Danielle revealed that she’d attempted to take her own life after battling anxiety for years.

In a separate interview with the Daily Star, the former model told how she’d taken “loads of tablets” but survived, and said she now wanted to support others suffering from a similar condition.

Her representatives later told the Metro: “Danielle wanted to speak about her experiences to raise awareness and help others who are going through the same situation.

“We’re really pleased how well received Danielle’s story has become – and hope that it’ll encourage people who are in the same position to seek help.”

Well, if anyone is testament to the old adage that ‘things can only get better’, it’s Danielle and Jessie.
