The publication claims the star is  hoping to kickstart a writing career and still describes himself online  as “actor/singer/songwriter”.

Bruno’s sudden departure came about when he admitted two counts of sexual assault in 2017.

He was sentenced to a 12 month community order by the court.

He was also told to sign the sex offender’s register, pay compensation to his victims and given 40 days of rehabilitation activity as part of the order.

He was made the subject of a 12-week electronically monitored curfew.

At the time of his arrest, Greater Manchester Police said they’d received a report from a woman in her 30s who had been sexually assaulted.

Then a second woman, in her 20s, came forward and more charges were brought.

Bruno left the soap after the allegations were made and in a statement that was released before he was charged, he said: “Sadly, I will no longer be working on Coronation Street. Acting on the show has been the fulfilment of a personal dream.

“Playing the role of Todd Grimshaw since I was 17 years old has been a huge part of my life, and an absolute honour.

“I would like to thank all of my friends who work on the show for their love, friendship and support during this extremely difficult period.”

His departure storyline saw him run away with Summer Spellman, the girl he and then partner Billy Mayhew were hoping to adopt.

Todd was worried their chances of getting custody of her would be ruined as the secret that Billy caused the death of Susan Barlow was about to come out, so he took Summer and fled.
