The celeb world was shaken and heartbroken when the news was announced that celebrity chef, Gary Rhodes, had tragically and unexpectedly passed away at the age of 59.
After several days of speculation at the cause of death, one of close friends has come forward to detail the chef’s last hours.

It has now been revealed that Gary enjoyed a simple ham sandwich with wife Jennie before having a shower and preparing for bed.
It was then that he collapsed after suffering a bleed on the brain.
Despite being rushed to the nearby Al Zahra Hospital, he couldn’t be saved.

Gary’s close friend Jaideep Bhatia described Gary’s final day to the Daily Mail.
“Gary had a terrific day filming his new TV series in one of the most scenic parts of Dubai and was happy and excited as he sat down for a ham sandwich with Jennie,” he said.
“He had showered before dinner – and did not fall while doing so – and enjoyed a relaxed meal with his wife. He was then preparing for bed when he suddenly collapsed. Everyone who knew and loved him is heartbroken. It’s so sad.”

Throughout the day celeb chefs paid tribute to the culinary trailblazer, but none was more touching than Gary’s brother Chris, who paid an emotional tribute on social media saying that he would “always be by [his] side”.
Chris took to Twitter to share a snap of the two of them at a wedding and told followers he had lost a “best friend” as well as a brother.
On Twitter, Chris uploaded a photo of the two of them, Gary’s arm draped across his shoulders, and wrote: “I have not only lost a brother but a best friend too.
“Gary you will always be by my side, in my thoughts but most of all in my heart.
“The times I have spent with you have been some of the most special of my life. Rest in Peace beloved man – love you always.”
