Jeff Brazier’s fiancée Kate Dwyer has revealed how she was moved to tears by a Mother’s Day message from Jade Goody’s youngest son.
Kate, who became engaged to TV presenter Jeff in October, shared the sweet message on Instagram after Freddy, 13, presented her with a card reading ‘Mum in a million’.
She wrote: “When Fred gives me a card in the restaurant and I burst into tears 😭 what an unbelievable gesture on a day that is unimaginably unfair for these boys. It’s not long until I am ‘officially’ a stepmum but it only truly counts when you earn the recognition and trust of the children involved. My heart could burst ❤
Freddy and older brother Bobby, now 14, were just four and five when their mum Jade passed away in 2009 after a seven-month battle with ovarian cancer.
She was one of Big Brother’s most successful contestants ever, and her death at the age of 27, five years after she shot to fame on the reality show, shocked the nation.

Jeff, who had split with Jade before she became ill, announced he was engaged to girlfriend of four years Kate, who works in PR, last October with an interview in Hello! magazine.
He popped the question on a family holiday to Ibiza, but not before seeking the approval of his two teenage sons.
Jeff, 37, told Hello!: “We walked out to the end of a jetty and sat on a wall that formed a harbour for the local fishing boats. Kate talked about how special the moment was, how relaxed and happy she felt, and I thought, ‘Let’s do it now’.
“I told her I loved her, and had been thinking about this for a while. I pulled the box with the ring out from my back pocket and asked if she would marry me. It was a very special moment.”

Last month Jeff told ITV’s Loose Women how Freddy was ‘hell-bent’ on having a stepmum, saying Kate ‘has done a great job’.
The couple plan to marry this summer in a ceremony abroad, with Bobby and Freddy stepping in as Jeff’s best men.
