Ferne McCann shuts down Lorraine: “I don’t want to talk about it…”

She wasn't in the mood to rake over bad times

Ferne McCann and her baby daughter appeared on Lorraine Kelly’s chat show this morning, to talk about their first Christmas as a family.

But when the conversation came around to Ferne’s ex-boyfriend – imprisoned for a horrific acid attack – she said “I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”

Times have been difficult for the former TOWIE star, whose former partner Arthur Collins was arrested and jailed while she was pregnant.

Her adorable daughter Sunday was born six weeksd ago, and since then Ferne has been adjusting to life as a single mum.

She appeared on Lorraine to discuss her latest TV show First Time Mum, which will be shown on ITVBe tonight.

And she was accompanied by her supportive mum Gilly, who was looking after baby Sunday while the pair chatted.

“You’ve had a terrible time, it’s been awful,” said Lorraine.

“It has been a tough time, but I can’t dwell on that any more. I’m feeling positive now and I’m just looking forward to the future,” Ferne replied.

The I’m A Celeb star went on to explain that she had moved back in with her mum, who was providing her with much-needed help with Sunday.

“I surrounded myself with all my friends and family,” she said. “It’s been nice moving back in with mum – you need that support when you’ve had a baby.”

Quizzing her on her feelings towards her ex, Lorraine continued: “Of course it’s been very well-documented, the nightmare you’ve had with your ex partner. He’s going to get sentenced soon.”

But Ferne clearly didn’t want to discuss the situation, despite admitting that she knew Collins would always be in her life.

“I don’t want to talk about it anymore,” she said,

“I can’t dwell on it, and I just need to look forward to the future.”
