Ferne McCann delivers final message to jailed ex during prison visit with baby

She gave birth to baby Sunday two weeks ago

Ferne McCann has taken her newborn baby daughter to visit jailed ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins for the first – and last – time.

The former TOWIE star confirmed to The Mirror that she brought daughter Sunday, two weeks, to see Arthur at a South London prison.

Arthur is currently awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of carrying out an acid attack at a London nightclub in April.

Ferne, 27, reportedly told Arthur he would never see her or Sunday again.

She explained to the newspaper she wanted Arthur to meet Sunday so he could see what he is “missing out on” following the atrocious attack.

“I am very angry about what has happened and I needed to communicate that and wanted to hear what Arthur had to say,” she said.

“I thought it was important that Arthur see Sunday and see exactly what his actions have led to him missing out on.

“I strongly feel for the innocent people hurt that night and I in no way condone violence as I have already made clear.”

Ferne added: “It was a difficult decision to take Sunday into that environment but I felt I needed to confront him about a number of things, which I have now done.”

Arthur was found guilty earlier this month of hurling acid over a crowd at the Mangle E8 in Dalston, east London, on April 17.

The 25-year-old, of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, was convicted of five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, and nine counts of actual bodily harm against 14 people.

Arthur admitted throwing the bottle of fluid over clubbers but said he did not know it was acid.

He said he thought the liquid was a date rape drug, which he had snatched from two men after overhearing them allegedly planning to spike a girl’s drink.

He will be sentenced on December 19.

Ferne released a short statement via her spokesperson following Arthur’s conviction.

It read: “Ferne’s thoughts are of course with the innocent people caught up in the events at Mangle last April. No one should ever be faced with violence on a night out.

“Having given birth days ago, Ferne is focusing on being the best mother she can be. She long ago accepted that she would be doing this alone and is determined to provide the best possible future for her daughter.”

Ferne gave birth to her first child on November 2.

She split from Arthur following the attack, which happened the same week they’d posed for their first photoshoot together in OK! magazine.

Speaking to the magazine before her daughter’s birth, she said: “I’m being strong because I have to think about my baby. The whole process of being pregnant has made me a much stronger person.

“They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and it really is true. I feel like I’ve developed a new armour this year.”
