Fern Britton has explained why she has no desire to start dating again after her split from chef Phil Vickery.
Former This Morning presenter Fern and chef Phil sadly split in 2020, after 20 years of marriage.
Since then, the star has enjoyed her ‘lovely’ social life and early evenings in bed.
So much so that she has confessed that she’s not interested in being back on the market anytime soon!

In 2020, Fern announced her split from Phil.
Following their divorce, Fern looked to be moving on with her life as she cut back on her TV career and moved out of her family house in Buckinghamshire to Cornwall.
However, after 20 years of marriage, the presenter is willing to accept that she no longer has the desire to start dating again.

Speaking to PA, Fern confessed that she is happy to be ‘in bed at nine o’clock’.
She said: “I’ve got lovely friends and I have a lovely social life, which is quite enough for me. I like to be in bed at nine o’clock- it’s great.”
Fern also admitted that her outlook on life has changed with age.

The presenter said: “I don’t think you carry the burden of youth anymore- the Am I pretty enough? Do I look all right in this? Do they like me? That all just melts away and you think, ‘Thank God I’m alive! It’s lovely.”
Fern Britton admits that she’s not ready to have grandchildren
Now that Fern’s children are a lot older and her sons Harry and Jack have left the nest, the idea of grandchildren could potentially be on the horizon.
However, the star revealed that she’s not ready to have grandkids just yet.
She confessed: “I’d like grandchildren eventually but I don’t want to force my children into having children just for me. And I’m not quite ready to take up granny duties yet.”
