Fears grow for ex-Neighbours actor who’s gone missing in Australia

The police are appealing for help in finding the 41-year-old

Former Neighbours star Troy Beckwith, who played Michael Martin, has gone missing in Australia.

The 41-year-old played Michael between 1991 and 1998. He was last seen in Cranbourne, Melbourne yesterday and is not answering his phone.

It is believed he was at home early in the morning, but when his partner returned at 11am, he was gone.

It’s thought Troy drove off in his car, a white 1999 Ford Falcon, and may be staying in hostels in Melbourne to remain unnoticed.

Police Sen-Constable Kristen Hill spoke to Melbourne’s Herald Sun paper and revealed: “He’s got his mobile phone, his personal belongings.

“[On Wednesday morning] he contacted his partner, saying an appointment had been cancelled and that was the last she heard from him.”

The police and his family are concerned for his well-being because Mr Beckwith has an undisclosed medical condition.

Victoria police released a photo of him alongside a statement revealing he’s about 180cm tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was reportedly last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and black and red trainers.

Anyone with information is being asked to go straight to the Cranbourne police.

Troy was a bit of a teen heartthrob in the 90s and his most memorable storyline on the Aussie soap included his attempts to send his stepmother, Julie Martin, mad.

As well as his stint on Ramsay Street, he also played the lead in kids’ TV show Pugwall.
