Fears for pregnant Ferne McCann’s health following ex’s arrest

The TOWIE star is under immense pressure as she struggles to cope

Stress has taken its toll on pregnant Ferne McCann following the arrest of her ex-boyfriend.

“Ferne’s family are increasingly worried about the TV star who is struggling under the immense strain of the past week’s events,” a source told The Mirror.

“Despite being in the early stages of pregnancy, she has lost a lot of weight and looks worn out.

“Ferne is clearly struggling with the mental strain of it all too, but is determined not to seek sympathy or feel sorry for herself.”

Arthur Collins was arrested following a terrifying nightclub attack on Easter Monday, which left two revellers blinded in one eye, and caused acid burn injuries to around 20 others.

He was charged with spraying a noxious substance inside the Mangle club in Dalston.

Ferne was stunned by the news –  just days earlier she’d described him “The One” in an interview with OK! magazine.

“Arthur is probably not who my type used to be,” she told the magazine. “But I love him so much that it doesn’t matter.

“He’s the man I want to be with now and I can’t see that ever changing.”

When Ferne’s pregnancy news was revealed, her spokesperson released a statement on her behalf saying she was “grateful” for the support she had received

“Obviously her first concern is for her child’s health,” said the statement, which also explained that she would not be discussing her pregnancy at this stage.

“Nor does she wish to discuss her ex-boyfriend who she does not recognise from the events of last week,” continued the statement.

“Ferne is in no way seeking sympathy for her situation and is determined to do all she can to have a happy and healthy child.

“Her thoughts are with the victims of the horrific attack on Easter Monday.”

Arthur was charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and one count of throwing corrosive fluid on a person with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Ferne has maintained a silence on social media since the incident, aside from liking an Instagram quote that her friend Vicky Pattinson had posted with the quote “I miss your face”.
