Fearne Cotton’s parenting confession has fans in stitches

We're sure a lot of mums and dads can empathise!

It sounds like Fearne Cotton is loving being a mum – the TV presenter, 36, is constantly uploading pictures of her kids, Rex and Honey, to social media, and sharing cute anecdotes about them.

And the Celebrity Juice star – who’s married to musician Jesse Wood – was giggling like a good ‘un as she made a confession to fans on Twitter this morning.

Fearne revealed that she’d taken Honey, two, to see Rex, four, appear in his school production, when something unexpected happened.

Tweeted the Londoner: “I have just laughed so hard, I cried. Proper wild and uncontrollable giggling.

“During Rex’s school play, there was a perfect moment of silence. Honey, who was sat watching with us in the audience, filled this gap with a very loud and gutsy fart.”

Fearne then reiterated how funny – and probably rather embarrassing – the incident had been: “Howling! Howling laughter!”

And fans of the blonde star were quick to display their amusement over what had happened.

One laughed: “Ha ha, save that gem for her wedding speech!”

Another pointed out: “Nothing worse than an awkward silence! Got to fill it somehow!!”

And a third fan quipped: “Was the play ‘Gone with the Wind’?”

Fearne may have been in hysterics this morning, but earlier this year she bravely opened up about her struggle with depression.

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, she revealed: “Sometimes, I’ll wake up and it’ll just be there. Never to the scale of what I’ve experienced in the past, and not very frequent at all these days, but it’s the same feeling and I know it very well.

“It could be triggered by something that’s a reminder of my past or a moment that brings up stress.”

And the presenter explained that she combats the illness using therapies such as reflexology.

She said: “What I’ve done since deciding I didn’t want to be on medication is spend a lot of my energy exploring alternative ways.”

Well, it may not have been deliberate, but little Honey certainly put a smile on her mum’s face this morning…
