The mum-of-two opened up about her depression as she told the Mirror last week: “I had a real lack of energy. I felt so drained and my lust for everything that I love wasn’t there any more.”

Despite having a successful television career the Celebrity Juice star explained how she had to remove herself from TV.

Speaking to Weekend magazine the star explained: “If you have mental health issues, then working in TV isn’t necessarily the thing you should be striving for.

“It felt more comfortable to, not exactly extract myself from it, but to care less about it and say, ‘OK, I’m going to go into another field now’.

“I think you do start to remove yourself from situations that could be potentially toxic.”

The star has since focused on things such as cooking and has published two books: Cook Happy, Cook Healthy, and a second entitled Happy.

Fearne has previously spoken about her depression and revealed she took anti-depressants to get rid of a “black” feeling.

“I’m very optimistic by nature, I wake up in the morning and I’m very excited about my day, I’m so pumped and enthusiastic about the smaller things in life and that was dead,” she told the Mirror.

She added: “It was definitely a relief when the doctor identified what was happening to me.

“I was prescribed anti-depressants. I decided it would get my head above the clouds for a moment.”

The star recently shared a rare snap of her one-year-old daughter, Honey, on Instagram.

Fans were quick to gush over the adorable tot with one writing: “Look at her beautiful hair. Just gorgeous.”

“Love her beautiful hair, what a little poppet she is x,” another said.
