Fearne Cotton furiously blasts rumours her marriage ‘is in trouble’

She insisted they are "happily married"

Fearne Cotton has slammed rumours her marriage is in trouble.

The presenter insists she’s “happily married” to her husband Jesse Wood, with whom she has son Rex, six, and daughter Honey, three.

Earlier this year, Fearne admitted she and Jesse “hit a rough patch” and since then, there have been rumours their marriage is on the rocks.

However, Fearne has taken to Twitter to say she and Jesse are “lucky” to have each other.

She wrote: “A relative notified me of another stupid story about how my marriage is in trouble because a lazy journalist decided to truncate, and conflate information to create a story out of nothing.

“I’ve never been more happily married. Jesse and I feel bloody lucky to have one another.”

It comes after Fearne recently joked Jesse “drives her mental” and they “sleep as far away from each other as possible”.

Speaking to the Mirror’s Notebook magazine, the star revealed the couple are polar opposites in their cleanliness.

“Jesse is the opposite. He makes a cup of tea and leaves the cupboard doors open, tea bags on the side, milk still out two hours later, it literally drives me mental,” she said.

“But I do his head in too, because he’ll get clothes out to wear and I’ll have tidied them away before he even gets out the shower.

Going on to talk about their sleeping arrangements, Fearne said: “My bedroom is my calm zone – where I try to escape the chaos. My bed is super-king size because I don’t want my husband anywhere near me when I’m sleeping.”

Back in January, Fearne admitted she and Jesse went through a “rough patch”.

She wrote in her column for Red magazine: “Love takes hard work – and no one wants to hear that.

“This year, Jesse and I hit a rough patch – he was away, touring relentlessly, I was trying to keep my own career going while looking after our kids and we were both desperately clinging on to our marriage.”

The couple’s problems eventually came to a head with a two-hour “screaming match” where they worried their “love had gone”.

Thankfully, the couple were able to work through their differences and their relationship is now even stronger.
