What a night for soap fans. On ITV we had Moira revealed as Emma’s killer, and Bob and Laurel’s affair exposed in Emmerdale.
And EastEnders continued its excellent revival under boss John Yorke’s care, with a very popular character comeback.
Viewers were thrilled to see Charlie Cotton return to Albert Square with baby Matthew.
Max Branning was a whole lot less happy to see him, though.
Charlie revealed to Jack that his plan was never to take little Matthew away from him, he just wanted to be a part of his life…
Viewers held their breath as it looked as though he was about to reveal Max masterminded him taking his son back…
But then Max walked in and looked horrified.
Surely it’s just a matter of time before Jack learns the truth from Charlie?
For now, fans were just happy to see the hunk back in Walford…
