Fans think Leah Bracknell looks amazing as she posts Instagram snap

Former Emmerdale star is battling cancer

Former Emmerdale actress Leah Bracknell has posted a selfie to Instagram and fans are full of praise for how amazing she looks.

Leah – who played Zoe Tate on the ITV soap – was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer three years ago, but she has so far tried to embrace life with the disease.

She has kept fans updated with her progress with regular blog updates as well as social media posts.

The latest photo sees her smiling at the camera and fans were blown away by the picture.

The caption on the snap was about how she had been putting off writing her next blog update.

“Ok so I’ve ranted, yoga’d, played too many games of spider solitaire, tidied the kitchen (don’t all faint those who know me !!) put the washing on, read my book made out of pages, made a salad, eaten it, and NOT written my blog.”

She then added: “I’ve got an hour before I have to go out, and seeing as no one’s looking I’m going to play a few hypnotic yoga beats and tune into the vibe of life, bang my drum, rattle my rattle and shake my booty and shimmy my lil socks off.

“Om shanti. Yaaay xx #cancerrebel #rebelforlife.”

Her followers were quick to comment with one writing: “You look radiant.”

“Looking fab Leah,” added another, and someone else wrote: “Doing well and looking fab.”

A fourth person added: “Looking amazing.”

Leah recently revealed she had come up with a “mad, crazy idea” to embrace life with cancer.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “So I was just thinking, if Greta Thunberg and Chris Packham consider their Aspergers and autism to be their superpower, to help them see and think outside the box, I’m just wondering if cancer could be MY superpower…

“I know, what a mad, crazy idea, but why the hell not?? #CancerRebel ‘I embrace every opportunity that cancer gives me to learn, to grow, to expand.’ And to FLY!

Earlier this year Leah, 54, revealed she’s undergoing a new treatment to decrease the progress of the disease even further after she began a clinical trial last summer.

Alongside the picture of an inflated blue latex glove with a face drawn on, she wrote at the time: “A Spring Equinox rabbit-geez!!!? (It’s becoming a bit of a competition among the nurses on the trial!) aka an ice filled latex glove for pre-jab numbing. Thank you C, this is one to beat!!”

The soap star previously insisted she’s determined to get her old life back and is sick of battling with conflicted emotions.

In a blog post titled Take Me Back to Normal, Leah wrote: “Living with stage four cancer is not black and white, we cannot always be the noble and exceptional patient nor are we always self-pitying and woe-is-me.

“Life on this path is far more nuanced see-sawing somewhere between the two; there are sunny days and there are days when dark clouds glower ominously and oppressively.

“To sum up, I am fed up of being fed up. And I’d like a break please.”
