Fans reckon there’s something missing from William and Kate’s family Christmas card

Is there something missing?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released the family portrait that’s gracing their official Christmas card this week.

It’s an adorable photograph of the family all wearing various shades of blue (which some fans think is a clue about whether pregnant Kate is expecting a baby boy or girl) with the kids looking super-cute.

But when the photograph was posted on the official Kensington Palace Twitter account this week, eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot something was missing.

“Where’s Kate’s right hand?!” asked one confused tweeter.

“Her right arm is missing,” pointed out another.

On closer inspection, it does look like a little bit odd – as though Kate’s right arm has disappeared.

We’re fairly sure it’s either tucked behind her own back, or William’s.

But some fans had a cheeky suggestion about what the Duchess could have been up to, speculating her missing hand was the reason for her husband’s broad grin!

So naughty! And obviously not what happened!

Plus, many fans have pointed out the image was taken earlier in the year, when Kate was likely in the early stages of pregnancy and not showing her bump.

Next year, the Cambridges will have a new addition to their Christmas card, as Kate is expecting her third child in April.

And it’s shaping up to be a very busy year for the family.

The following month, William’s younger brother will marry American actress Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel.

Exciting!
