Comedy star reveals that they are taking time out from their marriage!

Are they now…just friends?

Ross Gell…sorry, David Schwimmer has revealed his marriage is on pause after six years of seemingly happy marriage.

It seems he and Zoe Buckman are really going to do ‘a Ross and Rachel’ by going on a break.

Apparently they need time apart to “determine their future”.

Some might say that’s superstar speak for “We now hate each other.” But nobody wants to see another Friends star in the doldrums.

The question now is what will happen to their their five-year-old daughter Cleo. No word yet on whether she will be living with mum or dad.

The couple told US Weekly in a statement: “It is with great love, respect and friendship that we have decided to take some time apart while we determine the future of our relationship.

“Our priority is, of course, our daughter’s happiness and well being during this challenging time, and so we ask for your support and respect for our privacy as we continue to raise her together and navigate this new chapter for our family.”

50-year-old comedy king David met Brit Zoe, 31, while he directing a film in the UK called Run.

She later decided to move away from her London home to be with him in Los Angeles.

They were engaged in 2010 and got married the same year in a private ceremony for close friends and family.

They had their beloved daughter Chloe the following year in 2011.

It can’t be easy holding down a marriage when you’re an international superstar and those Friends episodes don’t look like they’re disappearing form eternal TV loop anytime soon.

He revealed all in a podcast for The Hollywood Reporter when he said: “It was pretty jarring and it messed with my relationship to other people in a way that took years, I think, for me to adjust to and become comfortable with.”

“As an actor, the way I was trained, my job was to observe life and to observe other people, so I used to walk around with my head up, really engaged and watching people.”

“The effect of celebrity was the absolute opposite: it made me want to hide under a baseball cap and not be seen.”

“And I realised after a while that I was no longer watching people; I was trying to hide.”

“So I was trying to figure out: How do I be an actor in this new world, in this new situation? How do I do my job? That was tricky.”
