This comes after Ant appeared to be struggling to walk during Monday’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final – which he hosts with presenting pal Dec.

The duo, who have won the most popular presenter award at the NTA’s for an amazing 16 years in a row, are hosting the talent competition’s semi finals all this week as the grand final approaches.

Meanwhile Ant and Dec are about to discover whether they are more than just the best of friends.

In a brand new 90-minute documentary, Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey, the stars will find out if they are actually related to each other.

They said: “Tracing our ancestors using pioneering DNA methods has been a fascinating and emotional process so far.

“We have discovered some amazing things which have shocked and surprised us and we still have hundreds of years to uncover!

“We are looking forward to sharing our journey with the audience.”

ITV’s Head of Entertainment Commissioning Siobhan Greene revealed: “Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey is going to have the audience on the edge of their seats.

“Following the lads like we have never seen them before and with some twists and turns and parallels to each other’s histories, this 90-minute film will leave viewers absolutely gob-smacked.

“And by Ant and Dec revealing their own personal family history we hope the audience at home will be inspired to wonder about their own.”

And this isn’t the only show the pair are working on.

The presenters have confirmed Saturday morning TV classic SM:TV Live will be making a comeback sometime in 2018.

Speaking about the show Dec said: “We’ve had discussions about it, and it looks like it’s going to go ahead – not this September, but next September.”

Ant added: “Next August/September.

“We can’t have the same studios unfortunately but we’re getting the team back together and we’re gonna have a bit of fun!”
