Britain’s Got Talent host Ant McPartlin checked himself into rehab over the weekend after admitting to battling with alcohol and prescription drug issues.
Ant, 41, has received messages of support from his celebrity pals and other famous faces.
This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby shared their support for the star as well as Piers Morgan and Lorraine Kelly.
Good Morning Britain’s Piers, 52, sent a heartfelt message to the presenter on the show this morning.
He said: “He’s a great guy, one of the nicest people you’d meet and his wife Lisa does my make-up on Life Stories.
“They’re lovely people and obviously they’re going through a very tough time and I wish them both the very best.”
Meanwhile Lorraine Kelly also showed her support as she spoke about the news on her ITV talk show.
She said: “I couldn’t believe this when I read it, it just shows you, you have absolutely no idea what is going in other people’s lives.
“I thought he had it made, amazing wife, amazing career, everything great, works with his best pal, yet he was having this struggle we had no idea about.”
Ant was prescribed the painkiller Tramadol following a knee operation two years ago.
Lorraine, 57, also spoke about the painkiller and how “seductive” it can be after she was given it seven years ago following a bad accident.
She said: “I was on Tramadol and it’s seductive. I actually came off it before… I actually wanted the pain more than the fact… honestly, it makes everything fantastic.
“But your head is full of cotton wool, it’s just horrible and it’s not real. It’s a horrible thing.”
During today’s This Morning Phil and Holly, who are good friends with Ant, also shared a message of support for the star.
Phil, 55, said: “We wanted to take this moment to send our love and best wishes to our mate Ant, as you may have seen he’s checked into a rehab clinic for help with substance abuse, prescription drugs and alcohol.”
The Apprentice star Alan Sugar was also among those sending their best wishes to Ant. He said: “Very brave Ant to go public. This is the first stage of the road to recovery. All the best Ant it, will all be sorted for sure.”

Ant checked himself in rehab to tackle his booze and prescription drug addiction over the weekend.
The Britain’s Got Talent presenter released a statement saying: “The first step is to admit to yourself you need help.
“I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I am truly sorry.
“I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends for helping me through this really difficult time.
“I’ve spoken out because I think it’s important that people ask for help if they’re going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.”
