Ryan Thomas closed one chapter in his life when he quit Coronation Street, and it seems he’s closed another one as he has reportedly split from girlfriend Lana Martin.
Ouch.
Bad boy Ryan began dating the marketing consultant in February after they met on a night out, but he has parted ways with the brunette beauty.
Sources claim the distance was to blame, as the pair had to make an 800-mile round trip from London to Edinburgh to see each other.
A source told The Sun: “Ryan and Lana really tried hard to find time for each other, but they both lead busy lives and became more and more distanced from each other – literally.
“It’s a shame but it’s totally amicable. Lana was there to help him adjust to life after Corrie. He’ll always be grateful for that.”
Ryan, who played Jason Grimshaw in the soap, is expected to be focusing on his career and working on landing new roles.
The source continued: “He’s enjoying having more creative freedom and is looking forward to upcoming auditions.”
The dad of one, who has a daughter with ex Tina O’Brien, has admitted his move to London was mainly to help him pursue his dream of making it big outside of cobbles.
He said: “I wanted a complete change after leaving Coronation Street.
“My agent’s in London, my meetings are there and many of my friends, too.”

Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that Ryan is considering exploring a career in theatre.
An insider told The Mirror: “He’s seen many of his fellow cast mates, including Julie Hesmondhalgh and David Neilson, take on parts in plays.
“He wants to challenge himself and move outside his comfort zone. Performing in front of a live audience just feels like the right fit.”

However, unlike his brother Scott who was launched to fame by the reality show Love Island, Ryan is keen to avoid any reality show, even though he’s had a number of offers.
The insider said: “He’s had quite a few offers over the years but has zero interest in going down that route. He’s too ambitious and focused on the acting.”
