Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has paid a heartfelt tribute to his 84-year-old dad Vince to celebrate his birthday.
The star, who plays Aaron Dingle in the soap, shares an extremely close bond with his dad and often shares photos and videos of them spending time together.
Vince, who was a comedian for 65 years, has become a favourite with Danny’s fans after he was filmed necking Sambuca shots in a video posted by Danny earlier this year.
Danny, 26, wrote on Twitter: “Happy Birthday to my one true idol and the bestest friend a son could ever ask for. My Big Poppa.. Love you pal,” alongside a selfie of the pair enjoying drinks.
His followers were quick to wish Vince a happy birthday with one saying: “Happy birthday Vince you legend!! Have a great day.”
Another tweeted: “Happy birthday to your dad. The two of you have the most beautiful relationship.”
“Happy birthday Vince!! You absolute legend, hope you’ve had a lovely day you truly deserve it,” a third added.
And Vince is definitely a legend. He was known as “king of comperes” during his days as a comedian.
But after Danny uploaded a clip of Vince downing shots back in June, he is now undoubtedly known as the “king of Sambuca”.
Danny captioned the post: “83 years of age.. Deals with Sambuca’s for fun.. #happyfathersday.”
In the video Vince downed the shot in one and their friends and family shout “Wahayyy”, with Danny stating: “Not a problem, not a problem!”
One commented on the video and wrote: “Your dad is amazing Danny fair play to him 😂😂👊👊.”
Another added: “Love that didn’t even flinch takes a shot better than me.”
“Your dad is legit a legend wish my dad was like him,” said another.
Last month Danny sent his Instagram followers wild after sharing a snap of him and Vince enjoying a night out with Adam Thomas and his dad Dougie.
Co-stars Adam and Danny share a very close bond off-screen.
In the photo Adam, who plays Adam Barton in Emmerdale, can be seen sitting next to Danny’s dad Vince while Danny grins next to Adam’s dad Dougie.
Danny captioned the photo: “Two legends. And their Dads. 😉 @adamthomas21 ❤️.”
Of course fans went crazy for the pic. One wrote: “Great photo, love the bond of friendship you guys share 😃❤.”
“This is far too cute,” another gushed.
A third commented: “The father and son bond you guys share is very precious and it shows.”
