Emmerdale SPOILER: Explosive end for Rakesh

He's made his fair share of enemies, that's for sure

Emmerdale’s Rakesh Kotecha is set to face more drama as his storyline reaches it’s climax.

After he lost all his money and started a fire a The Mill to claim on the insurance, Rakesh was horrified when it turned out Nicola had been caught in the blaze and suffered life-changing injuries as a result.

Not as horrified as Nicola herself when she found out what he’d done, and she set out to make him pay, forcing the Sharmas to give her a senior role at the factory in exchange for her not going to the police.

But her husband Jimmy King wasn’t satisfied with that and ended up attacking and kidnapping Rakesh a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, Jimmy’s no criminal mastermind, and Rakesh managed to untie the ropes binding him to a chair, and the pair fought.

The scuffle ended with Jimmy accidentally pushing Rakesh out of a window.

The two families then reached an uneasy truce – both would keep quiet about what the other had done so no one would go to prison.

That was that. Or so we thought.

But it turns out that’s not going to be the end of the matter at all, and things are going to come to a head leading to a very dramatic ending.

Speaking at the Royal Television Society Awards, at which Emmerdale picked up the Best Soap and Continuing Drama gong, Pasha Bocarie teased that there’s much more to come.

“I think the upcoming episodes and the upcoming storyline are going to be pretty explosive.

“It’s not going to end well.

“What we’re looking at is a combination of all of the events that have taken place and the repercussions of all that.”

He added: “It’s exciting and a dramatic end.”

But what does he mean by “end”? Is it just the storyline that’s climaxing – or could it be an end to Pasha’s time on the show? Is Rakesh set to die?

Is he leaving the show? Or will Priya and Rakesh be able to come back from this? Has too much gone on for them ever to recover – or can they put it behind them and move forward?
