Emmerdale’s Robert and Aaron set for official wedding after Aaron’s jail release

Will they officially tie the knot when Aaron's released?

Emmerdale fans were in floods of tears when Robert Sugden wed Aaron Dingle in an unconventional private ceremony in a barn.

But despite the boys saying ‘I do’, it wasn’t legally binding because no one presided over it, but it looks like they WILL make it official when Aaron’s out of jail.

Currently serving a year’s sentence for assaulting Kasim, Aaron’s having a hard time behind bars, facing homophobic attacks, and turning to drugs to deal with the emotional and physical pain.

Meanwhile, on the outside, Robert has been finding things just as tough and when Aaron kicked him out of the prison telling him they were done, Rob went straight back to ex Rebecca and fell into her arms.

Chas found out and insisted Robert come clean with Aaron, but when they got to the prison and Chas saw the state of her son, and realised how much he depended on Robert being there for him when he got out, she decided to cover for Robert.

But with the guilt weighing heavily on Robert’s mind, how much longer can he keep quiet?

Things are looking up for the boys though with the news Aaron’s appeal has been successful and he could be out of jail in a matter of weeks.

So once the couple are reunited, are we in for a proper wedding then?

Fans will remember their first wedding was ruined when the police burst in and arrested Aaron’s granny, Faith Dingle, for murder.

Show boss Iain McLeod has said he HAS talked about the possibility of a second wedding with actor Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, and now Sally Dexter, who plays Faith has dropped another hint it is on the cards.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Sally said:

“‘I’m sorry! I would like to profoundly apologise for ruining Robert and Aaron’s wedding.

“Faith feels very bad about that because she likes them. She’s got a real soft spot for Robert – well, for both of them actually!

“But I’m hoping they’ll be brought even closer because of all that drama. Who knows, maybe there might be a second wedding day to make up for it when Aaron gets out of jail?’

Ooh, we’d better buy our hats!
