Others defended Emma's right to style her hair however she likes, without any reference to other people's opinions - with some accusing people of ageism and misogyny.

"She likes it and thats all that matters. And there is nothing wrong with ageing no matter how you have been brainwashed by the misogynistic society," one fan commented.

They continued: "Woman can look older and age whether naturally or because of a hair colour and there is nothing wrong with that. Keep your unwanted opinions to yourself. Emma is a beautiful person inside and out."
