The presenter posted a back stage shot from yesterday’s episode of The Voice, showing off her artfully coiffed hair.

But some weren’t impressed, taking to the comments to beg her to dye her hair.

“What on earth has this lovely woman done to her hair,” one fan commented.

“Love you but much prefer you with darker hair. That colours ages you!” said another fan.

“Gorgeous lady but I prefer you dark Emma,” said another fan.

“Go back to dark, the blonde drains you, ages you,” another fan commented.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for every comment knocking Emma’s hair another popped up in support of it.

“Love the hair. People don’t like change – it suits you,” one fan said.

Another observer said: “Love your new hairstyle and colour Emma. It really suits you.”

A third commenter added: “Love your hair that colour!”

“Lovely your hair colour, it’s great to have a change, gorgeous,” said another.

Others defended Emma’s right to style her hair however she likes, without any reference to other people’s opinions – with some accusing people of ageism and misogyny.

“She likes it and thats all that matters. And there is nothing wrong with ageing no matter how you have been brainwashed by the misogynistic society,” one fan commented.

They continued: “Woman can look older and age whether naturally or because of a hair colour and there is nothing wrong with that. Keep your unwanted opinions to yourself. Emma is a beautiful person inside and out.”
