Emma Willis left mortified by daughter’s remarks to her teacher

Gotta be careful what you say around kids!

Emma Willis has shared an embarrassing story about her daughter’s school.

The mum of three spoke out on Wednesday’s episode of This Morning while she and Rylan Clark-Neal discussed a little girl’s drawing of her hungover mum that has gone viral.

It prompted Emma and other parents to divulge their own confessions of when things they’d rather stayed at home end up being brought into the classroom!

Emma, 42, explained how one of her daughter Isabelle’s teachers once sent home a laminated list to help Emma remember what needed to be brought to school on what days.

She recalled: “At the time I was really busy and Matt was away and I had a lot of things to remember from a school point of view, so I was forgetting all the time.

“The teacher sent home a laminated list to help me.

“Of course, I got a little bit defensive and said, ‘Your teachers think I’m stupid!’ And then she went into school the next day and said, ‘Thank you for that list, but my mummy thinks you think she’s stupid.’

“Then the teacher came up to me and said, ‘Mrs Willis, we were only trying to help.'”

An embarrassed Emma said she immediately went into apology mode, telling the teacher: “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean it like that! Isabelle, what have you said?!’

“All they were doing were helping.”

The catalyst for Emma’s story was a mum’s horror after finding out her seven-year-old daughter had drawn a picture of her in bed hungover, which had then been displayed on the school walls at parents’ night.

The little girl had even included a sick bucket in the drawing!

Fellow parents were quick to contact This Morning with horror stories of their own, including one mum who said her daughter brought Fifty Shades of Grey as a show and tell item, and another who declared her mum wore Always Extra sanitary pads, when asked to write a sentence containing the word ‘always’.
