Emma Forbes reunites with Live & Kicking co-host Andi Peters on Loose Women

They looked ecstatic

TV and radio presenter Emma Forbes was given the best surprise today when the Loose Women brought out her original co-host from Live & Kicking, Andi Peters.

Live & Kicking was a hugely popular children’s television show in the 90s, and Emma and Andi hosted the show from its inception in 1993 until 1996 when they were replaced by Zoe Ball and Jamie Theakston.

Emma appeared to have no idea that Andi was waiting backstage to come out and be reunited with her, and she was over the moon when they got to give each other a big hearty hug!

When Andi, 46, sat beside Emma she was clearly ecstatic as she said: “This is my dream” and Andi said that during their last episode together on the 90’s show “everybody was crying”.

Although it seemed like the pair hadn’t seen each other for years, they have remained close friends and they have kept in touch, with Emma even making Andi godfather to one of her children.

She said: “We speak a lot but we haven’t been reunited on live telly,” and they both said without a doubt they would love to host another show together. Emma said: “It’s not like we haven’t said to people we’d like to work together.”

Loose Women panellist Andrea hinted that ITV should give them a job together, as she said: “Good Morning Britain, if you’re watching…” in reference to the pair being appointed new hosts of the ITV show which is currently presented by Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Before Andi came out Emma was on the show to talk about her new look and Andi said: “Whatever shape you are you always look lovely.” Aaw!

The ladies asked Andi how he had such an “incredible body” and Emma let a secret out about his old eating habits during Live & Kicking. She said: “Let’s be honest you weren’t the most healthy eater when I met you,” to which Andi replied: “Alright don’t reveal everything!”

Emma, 52, continued to divulge some of Andi’s bad eating habits when she revealed: “I used to bring in my Tupperware with the rice and the watercress and you ate the Madeira cake.”

Andi gave his take on the pressures women face when they get older, to look a certain way and the pressures Emma felt to slim down. He said: “I’m not 50 yet and I think it’s very different for men, we just grow old and that’s it and whereas I think it’s a lot more pressure for ladies. It’s a lot more pressure for ladies in television and in the media.”
