Presenter Paul O’Grady has revealed he’s bringing home two more fluffy additions to his family – including a familiar face.
Entertainment Daily! has confirmed Paul is giving a home to one of the pups featured on his touching reality show, For The Love of Dogs – which follows the amazing work of rescue shelter, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The dog in question? Minnie!
She’s the lovely terrier from the festive special, who’d been abandoned, heavily pregnant, on Hampstead Heath.

Paul first broke the news in an interview with Mirror Online this week where he revealed: “I’ve got two coming [home] this week. Little Minnie and one of her puppies.”
When we approached Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, they told us: “Minnie is still receiving medical treatment at Battersea so is not yet cleared for rehoming. For that reason we haven’t got any update on Paul taking her home yet.”
During the episode of For The Love Of Dogs featuring Minnie, Paul had named her Bauble, but changed his mind to Minnie.
After filming, Paul, 62, singled her out as the dog from the show who stole his heart, saying: “This heavily pregnant little mongrel was brought in, a tiny terrier-type, who had been dumped on Hampstead Heath on Bonfire Night. How can people do that?
“We called her ‘Bauble’ on the spur of the moment and then I changed it to Minnie. She’s such a little sweetie, she just sat there shocked and exhausted, and she played on my mind…”
Once she’s ready to come home, Minnie will have to get used to sharing Paul’s attention with a lot of other animals.
Paul explained to The Mirror: “I have a couple of Staffies and I am overrun with animals.
“Spring is on its way and farmers will knock on my door and say ‘Do you want this orphan lamb?’ If I say no, they say they have to kill it. Then I’m bottle feeding it two hours a day and I have the lamb in a bedroom in the box. I had a goat in my bedroom once!”
The veteran TV star is married to ballet dancer Andre Portasio. They’ve been together 11 years, and finally tied the knot last August.

The exciting, fluffy news comes after Paul received the Special Recognition award at the National TV Awards on Tuesday evening, to honour his work with Battersea Dogs Home.
We can’t think of anyone who deserves it more.
