EastEnders star Ross Kemp faces terrifying ordeal – in BIRMINGHAM!

He's been filming for a new documentary

EastEnders hard-man and documentary presenter Ross Kemp has revealed he wore the same body armour he wore in a Syrian war zone when he was filming in the West Midlands!

Ross, who’s known for playing Grant Mitchell, has been making a documentary about police armed response units and counter terrorism teams in the UK.

And though the former Enders star has been in some of the most dangerous places in the world while filming his documentaries, he was taking no chances on home turf.

He told Metro that he donned the same armour he used to keep himself safe in Syria when he was filming on the streets of Brum.

“I’m making a documentary about our armed response units and counter terrorism units – armed police across the UK,” he said.

He added that he was investigating whether Britain has enough armed police to deal with current threats.

The documentary will consider the increased terrorism threat as well as looking at risks such as illegal handguns and other weapons.

“I wear the same body armour that I wore in Syria on the streets of Birmingham,” he revealed.

Sounds like filming in the UK has been just as terrifying for Ross as going abroad!

Ross has filmed all over the world, meeting dangerous criminals in some of the riskiest places on earth.
