EastEnders star makes emotional plea after brother killed

She wants to find out who did this to her family

A teen who was stabbed to death on his birthday night at a club in London was the brother of an EastEnders actress.

Belinda Owusu, who plays Libby Fox in the soap, issued a heartbreaking plea to the public to help track down her little brother’s killers after Ziggy Worrell-Owusu was knifed in a row at a shisha club.

The 27-year-old actress said that he was attacked on October 27 in the early hours at the Basement Shisha Lounge in Goodmayes, near Ilford.

The upset actress told the London Evening Standard: “We are not completely sure if it was their intention to hurt him or if he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time but he was not fighting.

“There were lots of arguments going on that night but Ziggy was a good kid. If he saw someone in trouble he would help them.

“We have a big family and everyone is changed. We just want to know what happened and why it happened so we can have some closure.

“I don’t know how someone can stay quiet and live with this for the rest of their life.”

Ziggy was said to be “very kind” and that he “had a good heart”.

He was a keen rugby player and had recently become an apprentice working for a company installing solar panels on homes.

Belinda said that the EastEnders cast had been “helping out in every way they can”.

She even plans to return to work as it’s “harder when you are sitting doing nothing”.
