EastEnders: Glenda breaks down at Ronnie and Roxy’s funeral

More heartache for Jack as Glenda has life-changing news.

| Updated:

Can EastEnders’ Jack Branning really take any more? Well, he’s going to have to when mother-in-law Glenda Mitchell drops a massive bombshell on him.

Timing doesn’t seem to be her strong point because she tells Jack her news right after Ronnie and Roxy’s funeral.

It’s an emotional day in Walford as the Mitchell sisters are laid to rest following their tragic New Year’s Day death.

Tensions are already running high in the family after Jack asks Phil to say a few words about his cousins and a recovering Phil refuses. We wonder why he says no?

As Jack and the rest of the family head to the cemetery to lay the girls to rest in a joint service, mum Glenda struggles to cope with the loss of both her daughters.

Shots recently released from the funeral see a sobbing Glenda (Glynis Barber) supported by her one remaining child, son, Danny (Liam Bergin), at Ronnie and Roxy’s graveside.

With emotions running high and some people struggling to keep their true feelings to themselves, it’s set to be a very dark day.

When they return home from the ceremony, the drama is far from over as Glenda makes her announcement to an already distraught Jack – she’s certainly picked her moment, hasn’t she?

What bombshell she drops remains to be seen, but with rumours that Charlie Cotton could be returning to Walford to claim his son, Matthew, Glenda’s shock might have something to do with that.
