EastEnders disasters week looms with Queen Vic at risk in bus crash drama

Bus crash expected to tear Albert Square apart – and claim lives

The shocking start to the new year for residents of Albert Square is not going to get any brighter in the coming days.

EastEnders is heading in to its ‘disasters week’ and it could be that not everyone will survive to tell the tale.

Soap bosses have released a trailer that shows that even the Queen Vic pub could be a victim of the upcoming bus crash.

The short teaser clip shows the bust of Queen Victoria, that sits proud in the Walford pub, starting to crumble.

As it begins to fall apart, it looks like the ceiling of the pub crashes down.

There is no indication who is in the pub at the time and whether it will be curtains for the Carter family, who are the current incumbents.

The only understanding is that disasters week will leave several characters clinging on to life.

The action unfolds after there are ructions in Bridge Street market.

The council are planning to locate the market elsewhere and Martin decides to go on strike in protest.

Unfortunately, he is not very good as rabble-rouser and finds that he’s the only one out there that’s willing to make a stand.

Obviously, his partner Stacey is little non-plussed about what he did.

This may all pale into insignificance as events unfold. There has been a fan photo posted online that shows ambulances in Albert Square and a bus apparently crashed by the bridge.

Louise Mitchell, who plays Tilly Keeper, has said this week is unmissable: “All I’ll say is that next week’s episodes are HUGE and unmissable.

“It was exciting to film and I can’t wait to see the audience’s reaction.

“I can’t say anything else! My lips are sealed. All I will say is make sure you tune in.”
