EastEnders: Danny Dyer is back!

Cockney favourite set to make his return!

Great news from Walford! It looks like Danny Dyer is back at work in EastEnders.

Danny – a.k.a Mick Carter – has been on a break recently after he was left knackered by his hectic lifestyle and party-boy antics. Oi oi!

An EastEnders source told The Sun Online: “It is not yet known when Danny will return but of course he’ll be welcomed back with open arms – he’s a very popular member of the cast.”

Viewers have just learned that his character was spared a prison sentence by his mum, Shirley.

The barmaid with the Niall Horan haircut took the rap for breaking boozing laws in the Queen Vic and lying to save her son.

Actress Linda Henry will be fine spending time in the soap slammer though, after starring in the TV series Bad Girls.

She played the hard-nut Yvonne Atkins in the ITV show for years…with the same haircut. It’s not clear whether that was her crime but, if it was, she’s certainly not been reformed.

Poor Shirley was trapped by fortune after a very bad day where she was faced with the reality of her son being sent to jail without passing ‘GO’ for Aunt Babe’s illegal tricks.

“It’ll be fine, there is a difference between lying and bending the truth just a bit,” she told Mick.

“You don’t tell Linda anything until tomorrow, we don’t want her to worry and then you tell her exactly what I’m going to tell them at the police station.

“That’s why I’m finally stepping up Mick. I’m not asking you, I’m telling you son. I’m going to get you out of this mess. Whether you like it or not.”

Shirley’s sacrifice means Mick could now dodge the porridge and the £20,000 fine that threatened to ruin him and his family.

It’s a hellish time on the Square for the Carters. The writers must have a vendetta. More likely, they’re loving the chance to play with such amazing, gritty actors.

There’s son Lee’s debts to worry about for a start and a 20 grand fine for Mick wouldn’t help the money woes.

Then there’s the cost of care for Linda’s mother in Spain. Perhaps there could be an amazing Benidorm-Enders link-up to bring some sunshine to Shirley’s life?

And don’t even mention the repairs needed for the pub to Mick! No wonder Danny Dyer had to take some time off.
